    Dr. Amalia Savvidi, MD

    Dr. Amalia Savvidi is a gynecologist and obstetrician at the General Hospital of Heraklion, Venizelio who lives in Crete (Greece). She has practiced for two years in General Surgery of the Lesvos Hospital, Vostaneio 2017-2019 and at the same time completed her training at the FILIA Medical Center in Lesvos 2018-2019.  What makes her very unique are her deep communication skills and ability to feel with her patients. She speaks Greek, English, and French. She is a woman who believes in equality and solidarity and practices these values in her everyday life as a doctor.     Katerina Magdalinou is a Dietitian-Nutritionist and scientific collaborator of omgyno. Her interest in gynecology and the role of nutrition in the female body started at school, where she proposed a research thesis on “Study of the relationship between dietary habits and primary dysmenorrhea in a sample of young women”, which was graded 10/10. She undertakes, among other things, nutritional support for women who are facing conditions such as Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, dysmenorrhea, reproductive problems, who are pregnant, lactating, menopausal, etc. Her approach is holistic and individualized, focusing on the needs and desires of each person and aiming to achieve a diet that fits their daily life and ideology.

    Elli Kastrika is a professional midwife who has been involved in the one-to-one care model of childbirth since 2013 and her vision is to welcome babies into a world that embraces diversity and cares for women. Every year she prepares and supports 170 couples during childbirth, postpartum and breastfeeding. She is the co-creator of wewelcomebabies, a space that offers midwifery services, parenting workshops and counseling on women’s health issues. She is a midwife who supports couples’ choices in childbirth, stands by women for care in postpartum and is an activist for the elimination of obstetric violence in Greece.
